Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of fourteen. Aspen Ladd trained in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her debut as an amateur at WCFC when she was 18. After that, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and defeated her via an unanimous vote to remove an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd recovered from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record up to 8-1. Aspen made her pro debut in the year 2015, when she signed as a player with Invicta FC.
